There is Performance issue with select2 dropdown in case of large records fetching from database.Its taking too much time to load dropdown while entering any character for autosearch in input field.

I found one of example like below

Can we integrate it into PHPGrid?

Currently it is not supported.
I would recommend to use autocomplete control as it will load selected options with ajax call instead of loading all big data.
