PHPGrid in PHP include path

QuestionsPHPGrid in PHP include path
Simone asked 8 years ago

Hi

I am trying to put the whole PHPGrid directory in the PHP include path, to make it completely unreachable via the web server and only accessible by PHP.
Is this something possible? And if the answer is affirmative, what should the SERVER_ROOT constant be set to ?
Thanks.

You can move the "inc" folder (lib/inc) to outside the doc root / public_html e.g. (c:wamp).

And in grid code, you can set path to outside the public_html

$path = "C:/wamp/";
set_include_path(get_include_path() . PATH_SEPARATOR . $path);

And then include it using:

include("inc/jqgrid_dist.php");

I've tested this case, and no other configuration is required after that.

You're right. I am sorry if this question seemed stupid, I am working on maintaining some applucations that were made with both your phpgrid and another phpgrid product… SOld by another company.
Yours goes perfectly, the other one… Not so much.
I was asking about that one, on the wrong site 🙂

Thank you anyway, now everything seems clearer.
