Hi Abu,
why first (visible) column can't be formatted as "date"?

If I do this, datepicker control doesn't work in other columns formatted as "date".

You can try setting:

$opt["add_options"]["modal"] = false;
$opt["edit_options"]["modal"] = false;
$g->set_options($opt);
