Hello Abu,
Whether it is possible (and how) to get a double-click inline editing without showing row wise edit/del/save option?

You can set additional column for row wise actions, and make it hidden.
$col = array();
$col["title"] = "actions";
$col["name"] = "act";
$col["hidden"] = true;
$cols[] = $col;
$g->set_columns($cols);
